At Blue Ridge Yoga we understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. In our desire to be effective and fair to all of our clients, and out of consideration for our therapists’ time, we have adopted the following policies:
In most cases, a 24-hour advance notice is required when canceling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment.
If you are unable to give us the minimum 24-hours advance notice, and we are unable to fill your time slot, you will be charged the full amount of what would have been your treatment fee. At our discretion this charge will be either automatically deducted from your credit card on file or must be paid in full prior to your next treatment.
On the other hand, if we are able to fill “your” time slot with somebody else, you will not be charged for that missed appointment.
Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show.” They will be charged for their missed appointment, and future service will be denied until payment is made.

Kris Evans is a licensed massage therapist and yoga instructor with a great passion for helping people feel well and joyful in their body! Kris received her education in massage therapy at Roane State Community College and has been trained in Swedish massage, myofasical integration structural technique, neuromuscular therapy, and active isolated stretching.
Kris originally found herself being drawn to learning and understanding the body through her yoga practice. Kris experienced first-hand the profound effects of yoga and massage in both her physical well-being and mental & emotional wellness. This began her journey of confidence and enthusiasm for the capabilities of the body. Kris's goal is to use massage and yoga to contribute to her community by inspiring health and vitality to all those who step in to her office. Whether you are an athlete in training or post-event, overcoming injury, dealing with matters of acute or chronic pain, or looking for stress management and relaxation, Kris is grateful to help!
Kris approaches bodywork & massage from a place of full body awareness and intention. She believes the body has the ability to heal itself and that each body must be uniquely cared for. Kris is dedicated to taking the time to meet with you to understand your lifestyle and goals in order to create a massage experience tailored to your needs. Kris's method has been described as both relaxing and invigorating through her use of a combination of gentle Swedish & Deep Tissue techniques, range of motion, gentle stretches, and an intuitive touch to allow for a personalized experience.
Kris is excited to grow through experience and education to continue to bring to the community every opportunity to feel one's absolute best! She looks forward to meeting with you!
Specialties: Relaxation (Swedish) Massage
After retiring from the business world, Marian completed the Therapeutic Massage program at Madison College in 2016 and became licensed as a massage therapist in Wisconsin. Her training included: Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue & Trigger Point Therapy, with a secondary focus on geriatric, pre-natal, and oncology massage. Following graduation, she worked as a therapist for Massage Envy, where she received additional training in aromatherapy and hydrotherapy. After completing the necessary requirements, she is now licensed as a Massage Therapist in Tennessee.
Marian believes massage, like yoga, is a form of self-care that provides a number of physical and mental benefits. Her experience with massage brought her awareness to focus on relaxation. For this reason, Swedish massage is her favorite. Stress is relieved during a relaxation massage as attention is given to tension patterns throughout the body. Swedish massage can help the body heal itself by stimulating the body’s circulatory and lymphatic systems. Also, a high level of relaxation can help prepare the body to allow healing to occur more rapidly.
Marian is delighted to join the talented team at Blue Ridge Yoga & Wellness. She believes everyone deserves yoga and massage as part of their self-care routine. She looks forward to working with you to customize your massage with the intention of bringing mind and body back into balance. When we are in balance our spirits can soar!
